The Kunekune is a breed of grazing pig that originally hails from New Zealand and was brought to the United States during the 1970s. These pigs have a rich heritage and are known for their minimal rooting behavior, unique color patterns, long hair, short upturned snouts, and exceptional temperament. They are great companions and are becoming increasingly popular in pork production.
Why choose First Roots Farm?
Events

The health and wellness of our animals are of utmost priority to us. Therefore, we also provide a health and breeding guarantee for our registered pigs. Before purchasing a Kunekune pig from our farm, we will schedule a consult with you to understand your needs and how we can help you find the best fit. You will have plenty of time to ask questions while you are here and will be available to answer them whenever they arise.

What are your farm goals?

Do you currently have Kunes and have specific bloodlines you are looking for? Are you new to owning pigs and are unsure of where to begin?
