Come get creative with us in the flower fields! This hands-on, 1.5-hour workshop is all about slowing down, connecting with nature, and making your own gorgeous flower crown—while sharing some laughs and making memories along the way.
Whether you're planning a girls' night, celebrating a birthday, surprising someone with a thoughtful experience, or just treating yourself to something beautiful—this one's for you.
What to Expect:
We’ll walk you through the step-by-step process (no experience needed!). All flowers for the crowns will be pre-picked—you’ll get to select your own mix of 15 stems from the curated bloom bar. We’ll provide all the supplies—just show up ready to play with flowers!
Once your crown is complete, you’ll head into the flower fields for a Micro Mini photo session with the talented Kendall Kuss Photography. This is a beautiful way to capture your handmade creation in a dreamy setting. You’ll receive 2–3 edited photos to keep and share!
Want to keep the flower magic going?
You can also add a uPick experience to your flower crown experience (available for an additional cost). Snip your own bouquet, and take even more blooms home with you!

1. What is a Flower Crown Workshop + Micro Mini Photo Sessions event?
It’s a fun, hands-on experience at First Roots Farm where you’ll create your own fresh flower crown from a selection of seasonal blooms—no floral experience needed! After making your crown, you’ll enjoy a Micro Mini photo session in the flower fields with Kendall Kuss Photography and receive 2–3 edited photos to keep. It’s a perfect mix of creativity, beauty, and memory-making!
2. When and where is the event?
The event takes place on Thursday, August 14th, 2025 at First Roots Farm, located at W1539 Roosevelt Rd, Oconomowoc, WI.
3. Will there be multiple people?
This is a shared event where multiple people will participate in the Flower Crown Workshop experience at the same time. During the event, each person will also receive their own individual micro mini session with our photographer.
4. Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance? What does the ticket include?
Yes, tickets should be purchased online prior to the event to secure your spot.
Each ticket includes all the supplies and flowers needed to create your flower crown and two edited photos from our on-site photographer. You may purchase a uPick add-on at an additional cost.
5. How will we receive our photos?
Your photographer will professionally edit your images and deliver them within 2–3 weeks after the event. You’ll receive an email link to an online gallery, where you can view, download, and share your beautiful memories easily!
6. Are there any age restrictions?
Younger children may find the flower crown-making process a bit tricky, so we recommend this experience for kids and adults who can work more independently.
7. Will there be food or refreshments available?
There will not be food or refreshments provided at this event, so feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Please bring any trash back home with you to help us keep the farm clean.
8. Can we bring pets?
For the safety of all attendees, pets are not allowed at this event.
9. Are parking and restrooms available?
Yes! Guests will park in the designated grass lot—just follow the signs when you arrive. There is a portapotty conveniently located near the parking area for your use.
10. What happens in case of bad weather?
In the event of bad weather, we will notify attendees of any changes or rescheduling. Be sure to check your email and follow us on social media for updates.
11. Will there be a Flower Bar at this event?
No, the Flower Bar will not be available at this event. However, you’ll have plenty of beautiful blooms to pick from directly in the fields!

13. Parental Supervision Required:
All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Since First Roots Farm is a working farm, we want to ensure everyone stays safe while enjoying the fields and fun. Thanks for helping us create a safe and welcoming space for all!
14. Kunekune Pig Fences:
Please be aware that our Kunekune pig fences are electrified for safety. Children and adults are not allowed to enter the pig fences.
15. Beehives:
We do have beehives on the farm, and we kindly ask that all guests not disturb the hives. Bees are an important part of our ecosystem and are generally not aggressive when left alone. You may see them buzzing around the flowers, but they typically keep to themselves. If you or your child has a bee allergy, please take appropriate precautions before attending.
16. Respecting the Farm:
While enjoying the farm, please help teach your children to be gentle with the flowers and respectful of nature. We want everyone to enjoy the beauty of the blooms!
17. Trash-Free Zone:
Please bring any snacks or drinks you may need, but remember to take all trash home with you. We aim to keep the farm clean and tidy for future visitors.
