Picture this: our rustic wooden arbor surrounded by overflowing mums in every shade of autumn — the dreamiest backdrop for cozy, joy-filled family photos.

These sessions are quick, lighthearted, and all about capturing real smiles and sweet connections (yes, even the silly ones). With Timmerly Photography behind the lens, you’ll walk away with photos that feel just like the season itself — colorful, warm, and ready to share with family, frame for your walls, or pop on a holiday card.

Together with Timmerly Photography and our co-host Babbling Babes, we’re creating a fall photo experience designed for you and your family to soak up the season and make memories that last.

Event Details:

• Location: First Roots Farm, W1539 Roosevelt Rd, Oconomowoc, WI 53066
• Duration: The event is scheduled in 45-minute group sessions with multiple families attending together. During that time, each family will have their own short micro mini session in front of the camera — just a few minutes, designed to be quick, simple, and focused on capturing your magical family moments. Families rotate one after another, making it an easy and festive experience for all.
• Parking is available on the grass in designated areas, and restroom facilities (porta-potties) are conveniently located near the parking by the pines.
• Please Note: There are no refunds for this event. In case of rain, we will email you to reschedule based on the photographer's availability for this group event. Please honor the end time of your time slot to ensure a smooth experience for all who attend!

1. What is a Micro Mini Photo Sessions event?

The event runs in 45-minute group time blocks. Each family enjoys their own individual micro mini session, lasting just a few minutes — short and sweet, but designed to capture quick, magical moments with your family. This is a shared event with multiple families attending the same 45-minute block. Each family will rotate and receive their own private time with Timmerly Photography during that block.

2. When and where is the event?

The event will take place on Sunday, October 19th, 2025, at First Roots Farm, located at W1539 Roosevelt Rd, Oconomowoc, WI. Look for the Farm sign at the end of the drive.

3. Will there be multiple families? 

This is a shared event where multiple families, each family will also receive their own individual micro mini session with our photographer during the event.

4. Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance? What does the ticket include?

Yes, tickets should be purchased online prior to the event to secure your spot.

Each ticket includes two edited photos from our on-site photographer. If you wish to purchase additional digital images, you may do so directly through the photographer; instructions will be emailed. 

One ticket is required per family. We cannot accommodate large group photos for this event — sessions are designed for individual families only.

Each ticket is valid for one day and the time you have selected.

5. How will we receive our photos?

Your photographer will professionally edit your images and deliver them within 3 weeks after the event. You’ll receive an email link to an online gallery, where you can view, download, and share your beautiful memories easily!

6. Are there any age restrictions?

This event is geared toward children and families. There are no specific age restrictions, but parental supervision is required at all times. 

7. Can we bring pets?

For the safety of all attendees, pets are not allowed at this event.

8. Is parking available?

Yes, free parking is available at First Roots Farm.

9. What happens in case of bad weather?

In the event of bad weather, we will notify attendees of any changes or rescheduling. We will reschdule the event, no refunds. Be sure to check your email and follow us on social media for updates.

10. Will there be a Flower Bar or uPick at this event?

No, the Flower Bar and uPick will not be available at this event.

At First Roots Farm, we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone during our events. Per Wisconsin Statute 895.524(2)(a)2: A person who observes or participates in an agricultural tourism activity on this property assumes the risks inherent in the agricultural tourism activity. Risks inherent in the agricultural tourism activity may include conditions on the land, the unpredictable behavior of farm animals, the ordinary dangers associated with equipment used in farming operations, and the potential that a participant in the agricultural tourism activity may act in a negligent way that may contribute to injury or death. The agricultural tourism provider is not liable for the injury or death of a person involved in an agricultural tourism activity resulting from those inherent risks.

Here’s what you need to know about supervising your little ones during the Micro Mini Photo Session event:

1. Parental Supervision Required:

   • All children must be supervised by an adult at all times. This is a working farm, and we want to make sure your little ones are safe while exploring.

2. Kunekune Pig Fences:

   • Please be aware that our Kunekune pig fences are electrified for safety. Children and adults are not allowed to enter the pig fences. 

3. Free Range Chickens

   • Our 35 friendly free-range hens will be out during the event. They’re gentle and fun to watch. You may pet them if they come to you, but please do not chase or pick them up. We don’t keep roosters — just happy hens.
     

4. Farm Environment:

   • First Roots Farm is a natural environment with uneven terrain, hoses, insects, and potential allergens. Ensure that your children are dressed appropriately for outdoor play, and keep them within designated picking areas for their safety.

5. Trash-Free Zone:

   • Please bring any snacks or drinks you may need, but remember to take all trash home with you. We aim to keep the farm clean and tidy for future visitors.
