We’re the Vera family and we're really glad you’re here.
First Roots Farm is a uPick flower farm in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, built by our family from the ground up. What began with growing flowers and raising Kunekune pigs here has grown into a working farm we open to visitors from across Southeast Wisconsin and the Milwaukee area, shaped by the seasons and the people who return year after year.

At our core, First Roots Farm is a production flower farm.
We grow a wide range of seasonal flowers with a strong focus on dahlias, alongside other field-grown blooms that change throughout the season. Our flowers are grown with intention and care, supporting everything from uPick experiences and CSA bouquets to wedding florals and dahlia tuber sales.
Alongside the flowers, we raise Kunekune pigs as part of an integrated, pasture-based system that supports our pastured pork program and helps steward the land through the seasons.

First Roots Farm offers several ways to spend time with the flowers we grow here, from ticketed uPick events and Micro Mini family photography sessions to Flower CSA subscriptions with multiple pickup locations. We also provide wedding florals, on-site and off-site Flower Bar experiences, and scheduled access for professional photography.
Whether it’s a uPick visit, a CSA pickup, photos, or a special event, time on the farm is meant to be spent in the fields, surrounded by flowers and Kunekunes.
