We’re teaming up with Babbling Babes for a whimsical afternoon in the flower fields — complete with a vintage-inspired tea party for Babbling Babes moms and their children, sweet photo moments, and a 15-stem bouquet to bring home.

Whether you’re joining with your little one or sharing the experience with loved ones, this is your invitation to sip, snip, and celebrate in style.

Here’s what’s included:
• A beautifully styled tea party curated by Detailed Design
• A seasonal menu of sweet and savory bites and refreshing drinks, provided by Homegrown Provisions
• A 15-stem uPick bouquet for EACH ticketed adult in your party— head into the fields and snip your favorites
• A Micro Mini photo session with Meredith Mutza Photography (2–3 edited images emailed within 2–3 weeks)
• Time to explore, relax, and enjoy the experience together

Ticket price includes admission for 1 adult + 1 child. Additional children are $10 each. 

Dressing up is encouraged. Floral dresses, tea hats, and vintage vibes — this is your moment to go all in.

1. What is the Tea Party + uPick + Micro Mini Photo Sessions event?

It’s a one-of-a-kind summer experience designed for Babbling Babes moms and their children—hosted at First Roots Farm in collaboration with Babbling Babes, Detailed Design, and Meredith Mutza Photography.

You'll enjoy a beautifully styled tea party, pick your own 15-stem bouquet from our flower fields, and capture sweet moments during a Micro Mini photo session (with 2–3 edited images delivered via email 2–3 weeks after the event).

It’s the perfect way to slow down, dress up, and make lasting memories with your little one (and maybe even grandma too!).

2. When and where is the event?

The event takes place on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at First Roots Farm, located at W1539 Roosevelt Rd, Oconomowoc, WI.

3. Will there be multiple people? 

This is a shared group event. Each guest will enjoy their own time in front of the camera, but the tea party and uPick experience will be enjoyed together.

4. Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance? What does the ticket include?

Yes — tickets must be purchased in advance to reserve your spot. Space is limited, and this charming tea party is expected to fill quickly!

Each ticket includes admission for 1 adult and 1 child, a beautifully styled tea party with a seasonal spread of sweet and savory bites thoughtfully prepared by Homegrown Provisions, a 15-stem uPick bouquet from the flower fields, and a Micro Mini photo session with Meredith Mutza Photography (you’ll receive 2–3 edited images via email within 2–3 weeks after the event). You'll also have time to relax, explore, and enjoy the experience together.

Additional children can be added for $10 each. Just bring your floral dress and favorite tea hat — we’ll take care of the rest!

5. How will we receive our photos?

Your photographer will professionally edit your images and deliver them within 2–3 weeks after the event. You’ll receive an email link to an online gallery, where you can view, download, and share your beautiful memories easily!

6. Are there any age restrictions?

This event is designed for moms and their young children to enjoy together. We recommend it for children ages 5 and up who can fully participate in the tea party and uPick experience. If you're bringing a younger child, that's fine—just supervise them closely throughout the event.

7. Will there be food or refreshments available?

Yes! A beautiful tea party spread will be provided, featuring a seasonal selection of sweet and savory bites and a variety of refreshing drinks — all thoughtfully prepared by Homegrown Provisions. It’s the perfect pairing for a summer afternoon in the flower fields!

8. Can we bring pets?

For the safety of all attendees, pets are not allowed at this event.

9. Are parking and restrooms available?

Yes! Guests will park in the designated grass lot—just follow the signs when you arrive. There is a portapotty conveniently located near the parking area for your use.

10. What happens in case of bad weather?

In the event of bad weather, we will notify attendees of any changes or rescheduling. Be sure to check your email and follow us on social media for updates.

11. Will there be a Flower Bar at this event?

No, the Flower Bar will not be available at this event. However, you’ll have plenty of beautiful blooms to pick from directly in the fields!

13. Parental Supervision Required:

All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Since First Roots Farm is a working farm, we want to ensure everyone stays safe while enjoying the fields and fun. Thanks for helping us create a safe and welcoming space for all!

14. Kunekune Pig Fences:

Please be aware that our Kunekune pig fences are electrified for safety. Children and adults are not allowed to enter the pig fences. 

15. Beehives:

We do have beehives on the farm, and we kindly ask that all guests not disturb the hives. Bees are an important part of our ecosystem and are generally not aggressive when left alone. You may see them buzzing around the flowers, but they typically keep to themselves. If you or your child has a bee allergy, please take appropriate precautions before attending.

16. Respecting the Farm:

While enjoying the farm, please help teach your children to be gentle with the flowers and respectful of nature. We want everyone to enjoy the beauty of the blooms!

17. Trash-Free Zone:

Please bring any snacks or drinks you may need, but remember to take all trash home with you. We aim to keep the farm clean and tidy for future visitors.
