Together with Timmerly Photography, Flower Field Classics brings timeless family photos to the heart of the flower fields at First Roots Farm.
This Flower Field Classics Micro Mini + uPick event is designed for families of all ages — parents, grandparents, and kids alike — who want meaningful family photos set among real blooms. The focus is simple: capturing natural moments in morning light to create classic, beautiful images.
This is a group event with short, one-on-one photo time for each family with Timmerly Photography. After photos, families head into the fields for a uPick experience and take flowers home. You’ll leave with keepsake photos, flowers in hand, and an experience that feels easy, thoughtful, and complete.

What's Included:
- Micro Mini Photo Session: A short and sweet family photo session set directly in the flower fields.

A 15-stem uPick bouquet per ticket purchased. Snips and a basket are provided, and when you’re finished picking, your flowers will be placed in a water-filled cup to take home
- Two Professionally Edited Photos: Each session includes two professionally edited digital images, delivered within three weeks of the event. Your gallery will be delivered via email.
- Option to Purchase More Photos: Directions will be emailed at a later date on how to purchase additional digital images directly through Timmerly Photography
- 45-Minute Session: This event runs in 45-minute group time blocks, with each family enjoying a few minutes of individual time during the Flower Field Classic Micro Mini + uPick experience.
Event Details:
- Location: First Roots Farm, W1539 Roosevelt Rd, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. You can find us on Google and Apple Maps, look for the First Roots Farm sign at the end of the drive.
- Duration: The event is scheduled in 45-minute group sessions with multiple families attending together. During that time, each family will have their own short micro mini session in front of the camera — just a few minutes, designed to be quick, simple, and focused on capturing your magical family moments. Families rotate one after another, making it an easy and festive experience for all.
- Rain Policy: In the event of rain, the rain date will be the following day — August 23rd. Your session will take place at the same time you originally selected. We’ll email all updates and confirmation details if the weather requires a shift.
- Please Note: This is a group event and there are no refunds. Please plan to honor the end time of your session so the experience runs smoothly for all families. Parking is available on the grass in designated areas, and restroom facilities (porta-potties) are conveniently located near the parking by the pines.

This is a shared event with multiple families attending the same 45-minute block. Each family will rotate and receive their own private time with the photographer during that block.

Yes, tickets should be purchased online prior to the event to secure your spot.
Each ticket includes two edited photos from our on-site photographer and a 15-stem uPick bouquet.
If you wish to purchase additional digital images, you may do so directly through the photographer; instructions will be emailed.
One ticket is required per family. We cannot accommodate large group photos for this event — sessions are designed for individual families and couples only.
Each ticket is valid for one day and the time you have selected.
Your photographer will professionally edit your images and deliver them within 3 weeks after the event. You’ll receive an email link to an online gallery, where you can view, download, and share your beautiful memories easily!
For the safety of all attendees, pets are not allowed at this event.
Yes, parking is available in our designated grass parking area. Please park as closely as possible to the vehicle next to you to help maximize space for all guests.
If weather requires a change, the event will be rescheduled to the following day, and your session will take place at the same time you originally selected. When booking, please plan to hold both your original event date and the designated rain date on your calendar.

This is an outdoor, weather-dependent group event, and there are no refunds if the event is moved to the rain date.

By purchasing a ticket and attending this event, you acknowledge and agree that photos and/or video taken during the event may include you or members of your party. These images may be used by First Roots Farm and the event photographer for marketing and promotional purposes.
Per Wisconsin Statute 895.524(2)(a)2, a person who observes or participates in an agricultural tourism activity on this property assumes the risks inherent in agricultural tourism activities. These risks may include, but are not limited to, conditions on the land, the unpredictable behavior of farm animals, ordinary dangers associated with farming equipment, and the potential actions of other participants.
The agricultural tourism provider is not liable for injury or death resulting from these inherent risks.
First Roots Farm is a working farm. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that all families review and follow the guidelines below.
All children must be supervised by an adult at all times while on the property.
Our Kunekune pig fences are electrified. Children and adults are not permitted inside pig enclosures. Please do not feed pigs or piglets grass or food by hand.
Our free-range hens may be out during the event. You’re welcome to pet them if they come to you, but please do not chase or pick them up. We do not keep roosters, only happy hens.
The farm includes uneven terrain, hoses, insects, and potential allergens. Shoes must be worn at all times.
Please bring any snacks or drinks you may need, and take all trash with you when you leave. We work hard to keep the farm clean and welcoming for future guests.
