Flowers don’t need a reason.
They don’t need a birthday, a holiday, or a special occasion to matter. And they definitely don’t need to sit on the sidelines waiting for “someday.”
That belief is what shaped the Flower CSA at First Roots Farm.
Our CSA was designed for people who want flowers to be part of their everyday life — not an impulse buy, not a one-time treat, but something steady and grounding that shows up week after week during the growing season.
What a Flower CSA Actually Gives You
A Flower CSA subscription means fresh, locally grown flowers become part of your routine.
Each week during the season, you pick up a bouquet made from what’s blooming right then in our fields in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The flowers change as the season changes — early summer looks different than August, and that’s part of the experience.
There’s comfort in knowing something beautiful is coming.
There’s joy in seeing what it looks like this week.
And there’s ease in not having to think about it at all.
Why Weekly Flowers Feel Different
One bouquet is lovely.
But weekly flowers change how you experience your space.
CSA members tell us they start to notice the weeks passing in a new way. They pay attention to color shifts, textures, and how the flowers mirror what’s happening outside. It becomes a small ritual — something familiar and grounding in the middle of busy schedules.
This is why the CSA works so well for people in Oconomowoc, Lake Country, and the greater Milwaukee area. It doesn’t ask for more time. It just becomes part of life as it already exists.
Designed Around Convenience (On Purpose)
We built the Flower CSA to fit into real routines.
Members choose from multiple pickup locations — including First Roots Farm and several partner locations throughout the area — so flowers can be picked up alongside errands, coffee stops, or the drive home.
No extra planning.
No special trips.
Just a consistent moment of beauty built into your week.
What You’ll See in the Bouquets
Because our CSA follows the growing season, the bouquets reflect what’s thriving in the fields at that moment.
Over the course of the season, you’ll see:
airy early-season blooms
fuller, colorful midsummer flowers
late-season textures and statement stems
Dahlias make their appearance when the timing is right — not before, not forced. Everything shows up when it’s meant to.
That’s the point.
Choosing the Right CSA Length
We offer 4-, 8-, and 12-week Flower CSA subscriptions because people’s summers look different.
Some want to dip in.
Some want flowers all season long.
Some know exactly what they want this year — and next year might be different.
There’s no pressure to choose the “most.” Just the option that fits where you are.
Why People Come Back Year After Year
The CSA becomes part of how summer feels. And once it’s part of your rhythm, it’s hard to imagine the season without it. The Flower CSA isn’t about volume or spectacle. It’s about being part of something steady — something grown with care, shared with intention, and designed to fit into your life.
That’s why we keep offering it. And that’s why it works.
