Spend a summer evening designing flowers surrounded by blooms at First Roots Farm.

Join us for a hands-on Floral Design Class where you’ll create your own seasonal arrangement using premium flowers while learning floral design basics including shape, movement, texture, and arranging techniques. This guided outdoor workshop is designed for beginners, flower lovers, girls’ nights, mother/daughter outings, and anyone looking for a creative summer experience at the farm.

Each attendee will receive a mix of 30 stems of premium dahlias, greenery, and filler flowers that complement the arrangement, along with all floral design materials and a vase to create and take home their arrangement. We’ll provide everything needed — just come ready to create something beautiful and enjoy a summer evening in the flower fields.

  • Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM | 2 hours or outdoor floral design class

  • Each person attending must have their own ticket. Ticket cost is per person.

Flowers shown in photos may differ from the blooms provided during class based on seasonal availability and what is currently blooming at the farm. No matter the season, you’ll go home with a beautiful, full arrangement.

This is a shared event with multiple small groups, each small group will also receive their own individual micro mini session with our photographer during the event.

Yes, tickets should be purchased online prior to the event to secure your spot. Everything included with your ticket is listed above.

This class is best suited for guests who can comfortably work independently with floral materials and design tools throughout the workshop.

There will not be food or refreshments provided at this event, so feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Please bring any trash back home with you to help us keep the farm clean.

For the safety of all attendees, pets are not allowed at this event.

Yes, parking is available in our designated grass parking area. Please park as closely as possible to the vehicle next to you to help maximize space for all guests.

If weather requires a change, the event will be rescheduled to the following day, and your session will take place at the same time you originally selected. When booking, please plan to hold both your original event date and the designated rain date on your calendar.

This is an outdoor, weather-dependent group event, and there are no refunds if the event is moved to the rain date.

All weather-related updates and confirmations will be shared via email, so please be sure not to unsubscribe from our emails, as important event information is communicated there. We may also share updates on social media as needed.

By purchasing a ticket and attending this event, you acknowledge and agree that photos and/or video taken during the event may include you or members of your party. These images may be used by First Roots Farm and the event photographer for marketing and promotional purposes.

First Roots Farm is a working farm. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that all families review and follow the guidelines below. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times while on the property.

Due to the nature of pre-booking and purchasing for events, tickets are not refundable. Cancellations or no-show attendee tickets cannot be refunded. For full details CLICK HERE.

Our Kunekune pig fences are electrified. Children and adults are not permitted inside pig enclosures. Please do not feed pigs or piglets grass or food by hand.

Our free-range hens may be out during the event. You’re welcome to pet them if they come to you, but please do not chase or pick them up. We do not keep roosters, only happy hens.

There will not be food or refreshments provided at this event, so feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Please bring any trash back hoWe do have beehives on the farm, and we kindly ask that all guests not disturb the hives. Bees are an important part of our ecosystem and are generally not aggressive when left alone. You may see them buzzing around the flowers, but they typically keep to themselves. If you or your child has a bee allergy, please take appropriate precautions before attending.me with you to help us keep the farm clean.

The farm includes uneven terrain, hoses, insects, and potential allergens. Shoes must be worn at all times.

Please bring any snacks or drinks you may need, and take all trash with you when you leave. We work hard to keep the farm clean and welcoming for future guests.
