First, visits to First Roots Farm are available by appointment and ticketed events only. This is intentional. Booking in advance allows us to care for the flower fields, manage the flow of guests, and make sure each scheduled visit feels thoughtful and well-paced.

Whether you’re coming to explore the flower fields, attend a uPick, or schedule a photography session. Having your visit on the calendar means everything is prepared in advance — the timing, the tools, and the space.

Because this is a working flower farm, dogs are not allowed on the property. This helps us protect the flowers, ensure the safety of our animals, and keep the experience comfortable for all guests.

There’s no set route through the flower fields. How you move through your visit is up to you. Some people walk slowly, taking in what’s blooming. Others move with more focus, knowing exactly what they’re drawn to. Some talk the entire time. Others enjoy the quiet. All of it fits within the experience.

What you choose to pick doesn’t need to make sense to anyone else. There’s no “right” mix of flowers and no final bouquet you’re working toward. Most people find that once they stop trying to plan every detail, the bouquet comes together naturally.

This is a working flower farm, and all experiences take place outdoors. Closed-toe shoes are always a good idea. Beyond that, wear something that allows you to move easily during your scheduled time.
